Model One CG (pair) – Gloss black

Model One SG/CG – High-Gloss Black Lacquer

Exceptional sound. Timeless elegance.

These loudspeakers don’t just sound exceptional; they are equally captivating to look at. Finished in a deep, high-gloss black lacquer reminiscent of a Steinway grand piano, their surface is flawlessly smooth, with a remarkable depth and mirror-like reflection.

This is one of the very last pairs of Model One loudspeakers to feature this exquisite lacquer finish, making it a particularly special opportunity. As we continue to focus on natural materials, longevity and sustainability, our future production will favour our solid oak finishes. This lacquered pair represents a beautiful chapter in our craftsmanship.

A finish best appreciated in person

The extraordinary reflective quality of the lacquer makes its true beauty difficult to capture in photographs. Light and surroundings dance across the mirror-like surface, creating a depth and brilliance that photographs can only begin to convey. Seen in person, these loudspeakers make a truly striking impression.

Like every Model One, this individually numbered pair (S001229 L&R) is designed to reproduce music with exceptional naturalness, clarity and realism, across every genre.

Close your eyes and the loudspeakers seem to disappear, leaving the musicians performing right there in your listening room. From the intimacy of a human voice to the scale of a full orchestra, the Model One brings music to life with an effortless sense of presence.

Each drive cone has undergone an extensive 360-hour run-in using a wide variety of musical material, including classical, rock, opera, country, jazz, folk and spoken voice. Following this process, the drive cones are carefully tested, matched and paired before being installed in their enclosures and subjected to a final listening and performance test.

Pure engineering. Handcrafted simplicity.

The Model One SG/CG is a single-driver, floor-standing loudspeaker featuring an internal front-loaded, quarter-wave Voigt pipe. Its shallow, all-alloy drive cone is housed in a substantial 3 cm thick Baltic birch enclosure.

Every enclosure is handcrafted without nails, screws or internal battens. The design follows a philosophy of elegant simplicity: apart from the silver-plated, copper-cored internal wiring, terminal posts and carefully selected damping materials, there are no additional components in the signal path.

The result is a loudspeaker of remarkable purity, both in its construction and in the music it reproduces.
