Model One SG (pair) – Natural

Natural sound. Natural beauty.

A clear natural finish lets solid oak speak for itself. This pair is remarkable for its grain, which is extremely straight, fine and consistent, running uninterrupted along the full height of the enclosure.

A pair with its own character

Grain this straight is uncommon. It gives the speakers a calm, linear and almost architectural look, and it is at its best in a light finish. Without a dark stain to compete with it, every line stays visible, and the pale oak lets the grain take centre stage. Look closely and you will see how evenly the lines run from one speaker to the other. They are a matched pair, yet each remains a piece of natural timber with its own subtle variations.

A natural listening experience

Like every Model One, this individually numbered pair (S001227 L&R) is designed to reproduce music with naturalness, clarity and realism, whatever the genre. Close your eyes and the loudspeakers disappear, leaving the musicians performing in your listening room, from an intimate voice to a full orchestra.

Each drive cone has a 360-hour run-in on a wide variety of music, then is tested, matched and paired before being fitted in its enclosure and given a final listening test.

Pure engineering. Handcrafted simplicity.

The Model One is a single-driver, floor-standing loudspeaker with an internal front-loaded, quarter-wave Voigt pipe. Its shallow, all-alloy drive cone sits in a substantial 3 cm solid oak enclosure, handcrafted without nails, screws or internal battens. Apart from the silver-plated, copper-cored wiring, terminal posts and carefully selected damping, nothing else sits in the signal path.
